Christmas is 3 Months Away...

I was looking at my calendar today, and it hit me -- Christmas is 3 months away!  How did that happen?  (smile)

Last week, we returned from a great vacation in Maine.  I had 2 events, so I had to prep materials for the cards quickly since I did not take any stamping with me.  And, yes -- my room has exploded once again.  Oh, well!  Creative minds are seldom tidy, right?

Here are the projects my Saturday Stampers and Stamp Club Ladies made this week.  Card #1 is the "Christmas Kitty Window card."

Detail of the Dazzling Diamond "snow" on the window sheet.
The second card uses Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo, and Blackberry Bliss ink to sponge a beautiful night sky.

The final card was featured in my September 10 blog post here. That penguin is just so stinkin' cute!

I hope these cards inspire you to start thinking about your Christmas cards this year.  My goal is to actually mail them before Christmas...

"Christmas In July" Class Projects...A Little Late!

I just realized I never posted the projects from my "Christmas In July" class, so better late than never, right?  The first card features the Santa's Gifts Photopolymer Stamp Set in the 2015-2106 Catalog.

Santa's Gifts    #138808    $16.00

And, here is the card we made:

I used the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and some Cherry Cobbler card stock to make the chimney.  The Chalk Marker does a great job in between the bricks, and then Cherry Cobbler ink was sponged on the chimney to give it some dimension.

And, here is the inside of the card:

RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour: Holiday Catalog Bundles!

The Holiday Catalog is here, and there are 22 wonderful bundles in it!  So, this month's blog tour is going to focus on some of these fabulous bundles.

I just love the little penguin image in the Snow Place stamp set! The snowmen are also adorable, and what's even better is all of the accessories you can add to them.  It reminds me of Colorforms from my childhood.  (Okay, I am old! LOL) I think I went a little crazy with the penguins, but they are so darn cute...

You may be wondering how I cut all of them out, and I can tell you it was so easy with the Snow Friends Framelits Dies.  What's even better is you can bundle the stamp set and the framelits together and save 15%!  Woohoo!  The bundle sells for $45.00, and I love that you can use it after Christmas as well.  Snowmen are very popular all winter long, so this set has great versatility.  And, those penguins are just too darn cute to put away after Christmas! My niece LOVES penguins, so I know what I will be using for her birthday card this year.

Catalog #140844    $45.00

Here is the card I made:

I added a Real Red scarf and earmuffs to my cute little penguin.  I attached the earmuffs with a 2-Way Glue Pen and popped up the scarf with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

Do you like the little igloo?  I created it with the Circles Collection Framelits Dies and the Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I tore strips of Whisper White cardstock and added Dazzling Diamonds to the torn edges to make the snow drifts.  The Soft Sky background was also embossed with Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and then I added some more Dazzling Diamonds to the background to look like it was snowing.

The greeting was stamped with Real Red ink and punched out with our Extra Large Oval Punch.  I attached it to the Soft Sky layer with Stampin' Dimensionals to make it pop out.

Now, it is time to see what Melissa Bolinger has created for us this month.  Just click on this link:  http://creativeblessingsbymissy.blogspot.com/2015/09/remarkable-blog-tour-holiday-bundles.html
