So, saying goodbye can mean different things to different people: sympathy cards, moving cards, retirement cards, etc. I decided to create a sympathy card for my project.
A family friend recently passed away, and he just loved the beach. In fact, he, his wife, and a few family members made the 3-hour trip to Ocean City just days before he died. So, when I thought about him, I knew exactly what stamps I would use for a sympathy card for his family.
Two of the stamp sets are on the retiring list: By The Seashore and Love & Sympathy. Being a Maryland girl, I just love the images in By The Seashore, especially the crab. I stamped the crab and starfish with Lost Lagoon ink onto Whisper White card stock and then "fussy cut" them out with our fabulous Paper Snips. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach them to the front of the card to give it a little pop.
I used the Hardwood stamp (NOT retiring -- Yay!) with Crumb Cake ink stamped on Whisper White card stock to get the weathered boardwalk look.
Here is the inside of the card:
I used a piece of Linen Thread to tie a bow around the fold of the card to add a finishing touch. Here are the supplies I used to create this card:

I hope you enjoyed this card, and I hope it brings comfort to the recipients.
Now, it is time to see what Missy Bolinger has created this month. I know it will be RemARKable!

Nancy, I love your card with the Hardwood Background setting off the "By The Seashore" stamped images. Love the color scheme as well.
