The Grand Finale: The Best of Sale-A-Bration!

I decided to use only one image from this set for this blog tour, and show you the versatility you can have with only a single stamp.  Here are the 3 cards I made:

I applied ink with our Stampin' Write Markers for two of the cards.  I used Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive markers to apply the ink direct to the stamp.

My first card is a vintage-style card (you know how much I love the vintage look!).  Lots of sponging with Crumb Cake ink to get an aged look:

I used the same Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive markers and made a clean-and-simple card:

And, here is the final card I made using this stamp:

I got this fading effect by inking the stamp 1 time with Early Espresso ink then stamping and re-stamping 4 times, moving the stamp slightly to the right each time without re-inking the stamp.  It gives a subtle, faded look that I like.

RemARKable Stampers Pinworthy Blog Tour: Lovey-Dovey

Happy New Year!

Hello!  I know it has been a l-o-n-g time since I have written, and I want to let you know that I am sorry I have not posted in a few weeks.  The holidays are always a busy time, and having one bad cold on top of another makes it very challenging to get everything done -- LOL! 

But, it is a new year now, and I am ready to stamp!  I want to let you know about a brand-new blog tour I am participating in with fellow Remarkable Stampers:  The Pinworthy Blog Tour.  Pinterest is such a great place to get ideas and inspiration, and we will be posting lots of fabulous ideas based on a monthly theme.  The first blog tour begins this Thursday, January 9, and the theme is "Lovey-Dovey."  So, you will see ideas you can use for Valentine's Day, weddings, anniversaries, and cards to say "I Love You."  I cannot wait to see all of the ideas from this group of very talented stampers.  So, be sure to check in on Thursday for the blog tour.

RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour: Best of Snow

Hello from the snowy mid-Atlantic!  It is flurrying here again, so our blog tour featuring the "Best of Snow" stamp set is perfect timing!

I just love all of the images in this set and I had fun creating these projects!  My first card is for my hubby for Christmas:

I think this little hedgehog and snowman are adorable, don't you?  I colored them with Stampin' Write Markers and Blender Pens then added a little Dazzling Diamonds to make the snow sparkle.  The greeting is from the Christmas Messages stamp set (#131790 $28.95 Wood Mount or #131793 $20.95 Clear Mount).

My second card features the brand-new stamp that comes with this set:  the "Let It Snow" stamp.

I stamped the snowflake in Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, and Crumb Cake ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla then sponged the edges to give it a vintage look.  I stamped the "Let It Snow" stamp in Always Artichoke onto Very Vanilla then punched it out with the new Bracket Label Punch (#132153, $15.95).  A little sponging and pearls give it the perfect vintage look!

My final project is a gift tag.  I used the image of Frosty (one of my all-time favorites from years ago!) and the "To:  From:" stamp from the Tags 4 You stamp set.  I stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White then cut with the Deco Labels Framelits.  I added a larger layer cut from Cherry Cobbler, then another larger layer cut from our Season of Style Designer Series Paper.  I wrapped some Season of Style Designer Washi Tape around the sides of our Kraft Gift Box, then added some of our Cherry Cobbler 3/4" Chevron Ribbon to complete the look.  Easy-peasy gift wrapping for this busy time of year!

Here is the card I made with this fun stamp set:

 

 

I stamped the image in Elegant Eggplant ink, then used a Blender Pen to add inks of several colors to highlight the cute lettering.  A layer of Elegant Eggplant card stock helps it pop off of the Whisper White panel that was embossed with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I added some Crushed Curry Chevron Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, and a small Vintage Faceted Designer Button for more texture.
