Fall is almost here! RemARKably Created Blog Tour

Hello, and welcome to the blog tour!  Our theme this month is "autumn" and that means the return of cooler weather, comfy sweaters, and pumpkin spice everything!  Right?

My project combines products you can find in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog and the Annual Catalog.  It is the perfect card for your camping friends:

This card is just fun to make! I find the best thing to do is to prep all of the pieces, and then assemble them last.

The Night of Navy background has sparkly stars courtesy of the Christmas Pines stamp set.  I stamped the star/polka dot image in Versamark Ink and added Heat & Stick Powder.  Heat with our heat gun to melt the powder, then sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds.  Heat a second time to set the adhesive.  Here is your sparkling sky:

The next step is to cut out the mountains with Crumb Cake card stock.  I used the Outdoor Adventures Framelits Dies.

As you can see, the mountain die is not quite long enough.  So, I just slid it down after the first cut, and ran it through the Big Shot again.

Here is what it looks like when you pull the pieces apart.

Discard the piece to the left, and then use snips to cut off the excess piece on the top.

Sponge Crumb Cake Ink to give the mountains some dimension.

Next, use the tree edgelit to cut out the trees with Garden Green card stock.  I used one piece cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/4" to cut both tree panels:

Once again, use your snips to cut to the edge.  Separate the two pieces and discard the middle piece.

Carefully sponge the two pieces with Garden Green ink.  Make sure one piece has the trees to the left side, and one piece has the trees to the right side.

Use Basic Black card stock to cut one piece of fence from the Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies.  Cut as shown below:

Use Basic Black ink to stamp the camper from the Glamper Greetings stamp set on Very Vanilla card stock.  Use Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp the camper detail inside the camper image.  Stamp the jack-o-lantern in Basic Black, then color with a Pumpkin Pie marker.  Stamp the Happy Halloween greeting from the Spooky Fun stamp set on the camper.  Color as shown below with a Basic Black marker and Pumpkin Pie marker:

Use our Paper Snips to cut out the camper.  Stamp the gravestones two times with Basic Black ink onto Smoky Slate card stock and cut out with the framelit. Cut a moon with the 1" Circle Punch, and sponge the edges.  Stamp 2 bats with Basic Black ink.

Now, it is time to put the card together.  Attach the mountains to the Night of Navy Background with SNAIL adhesive.  Attach the first group of trees to the mountains with SNAIL adhesive, then attach the two sets of gravestones to this group of trees.  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the second set of trees to the first set.  If you have any Garden Green overhanging the Night of Navy, trim with Paper Snips.  Attach the fence pieces with Tombow Multi-purpose Liquid glue to the second set of trees.  Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the camper and the moon to the front of the card.

Here is the inside of the card:

I hope you enjoyed this card!  Now, it is time to see what Missy has created for us this month.  I know it will be fabulous, as always!

I'm Back!

I am back from vacation in my happy place, Maine. I know posts were a bit sporadic, but I was enjoying time with my family in Acadia National Park. I will bore you with photos of this beautiful place later this week. LOL. But, I wanted to remind you of the RemARKably Created Blog Tour tomorrow evening at 8 PM ET. Here is a little sneak peek of my project.

Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!

If you have any little ones in your life, you probably recognize this from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show.  My hubby and I attended a 2nd birthday party for two little ones today, and here are the cards I made for them:

The little ones are crazy about all things Mickey Mouse, so I thought they would get a kick out of these cards.  Here is a close-up view:

Have a great weekend!

Candy Cane Lane Wreath

I think my favorite suite in the Holiday Catalog is the Candy Cane Lane suite.  I have always been a big fan of gingerbread cookies as decorations for Christmas, so you can only imagine how excited I was when I saw this fabulous Designer Series Paper!
Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper
#141981   $11.00
I have lots of ideas for this beautiful paper, so I can guarantee you will see this Designer Series Paper again. :-)  I have been seeing lots of clothespin wreaths on Pinterest, so I decided to make one for my display at my Holiday Open House last weekend.  What do you think?

I cut strips of the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper at 3/8" by 3" and glued them to clothespins using our Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue
#110755    $4.00
A simple bow of our Real Red 3/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon was attached with a Glue Dot.

Real Red 3/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon
#141984   $8.50
I used Whisper White card stock for the back row of clothespins. And, I am going to use our "spooktacular" Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper for the other side of the clothespins -- two wreaths in one!  The clothespins are not glued on the wire wreath form, so I can switch them.  Yippee! I will post again after I make the Halloween Night clothespins.
