Rudolph, the "Foxy Friends" Reindeer

🎶 Rudoph, the red-nosed reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And, if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows ðŸŽ¶

Hello, and welcome to the second project we made at my "Christmas In July" class. I used the Foxy Friends stamp set to create this card:

I just love this stamp set!  It lets you create so many cute critters, including Rudolph.

#141549     $27.00
I bet you are wondering where I got the red rhinestone for his nose. Here is a hint:
Did you know that you can color our fabulous rhinestones and pearls with Sharpie markers?  Yep -- And, that is how Rudolph got his red nose on this card. I colored the rhinestone right on the sheet that it is packaged on, let it dry, then added it to Rudolph.

It was so easy to stamp Rudolph because the stamps in Foxy Friends are photopolymer, so you can see right through them. First, I stamped him in Sahara Sand ink, then added his legs, face, and antlers with Early Espresso ink. I added his cute, red nose right over top of the stamped nose that is part of the face stamp.

Here is the inside of the card:

I used the Oh, What Fun stamp set for the inside of this card.

Christmas In July

Well, the thermometer in my car read this over the weekend:

But, I was thinking "Christmas" at my Christmas In July class.  So, I thought I would show you these cards over the next few days. Who knows -- It might make us feel a little cooler!

I wanted to start with this card because it features the new Thoughtful Branches stamp set that will be available on August 2.

This stamp set is photopolymer, so it makes lining up the branches over top of the tree trunk so easy!  I stamped the trunk in Smoky Slate ink, then stamped the branches over top in Garden Green. The cardinals were stamped in Real Red, and then cut out with the coordinating framelits.  No fussy cutting here!

I just love the Thoughtful Branches Bundle!  It will be available to order beginning August 2, and will be available while supplies last. I will be placing an order on August 2, so let me know if you would like to order this bundle.

And, from what I have seen on Pinterest, I think this bundle will sell out.  But, no worries -- Stampin' Up! said if it sells well, we may see it in a future catalog.  Yippee!

Here is a closer look at the front of the card:

You know I love to pop things up with our Stampin' Dimensionals, and this card has a lot of dimension.  And, sparkle!  I added a layer of Silver Glimmer Paper to really make this image pop.  And, I am SO glad we have the Woodlands Embossing Folder back in the 2016-2017 Catalog.  It is one of my favorite embossing folders, and I am so glad it is back.

Here is the inside of the card:

This greeting was pulled from the Festive Flurry stamp set.  I added two Real Red cardinals to the inside of the card, too.  What do you think?

A Special Wedding Card for a Special Couple

Yesterday, we attended the wedding of my daughter's friend. I can hardly believe that one of her classmates from kindergarten is now married. (I am feeling old! LOL) So, I wanted to make a special card wedding card for her and her husband.

This card was so easy to make with our 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (#141408, $22.00). I chose the Peekaboo Peach sheet with the words as my background. Here is a closer look:

I used the Better Together (#141736, $37.00) clear mount stamp set for this card.
This stamp set has greetings for a variety of cards, and is a must-have in your craft room! Here is the inside of the card:

I hope you like this card and it inspires you to create something today!

Sunshine Sayings Bundle

One of my favorite new bundles is the Sunshine Sayings.

Sunshine Sayings Bundle
Wood Mount  #142338  $52.00
Clear Mount  #142339  $45.00
If you want a versatile bundle, look no further!  The thinlits include the words sunshine, love, congrats, and hope in addition to the large flower, small flower/butterfly, and heart.  I have a special place in my heart for the "hope" thinlit -- I will be using it quite a bit to make cards for my GBMC Oncology Support Services buddies to give to patients and their families.

Here is a card I made for my teammate's mom who was recently hospitalized:

You can create so many different greetings with all of the words in this set!  I used some of the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper on this card.  It is amazing how just a little bit of this beautiful paper can create such a special card!

The Seaside Texture Embossing Folder added subtle texture to the background.  Here is a closer view of the card:

And, here is the inside:

Have a nice weekend!
