Paper Pumpkin June Kit

I love receiving my Paper Pumpkin Kit in the mail each month, and this month's kit is one of my favorites!  In fact, I will be using pieces of this kit for a Make & Take this weekend at the Busy Bee Day Crop on Saturday.

I had fun making several pinwheels today, and I embellished them with the little crab stamp from Sea Street (you see, we LOVE steamed crabs here in Baltimore!).  I made this cute centerpiece today:

I had so much fun making this!  I just LOVE-LOVE-LOVE the color scheme of Real Read, Whisper White, Night of Navy, Coastal Cabana, and Smoky Slate.  It just says "Summer" to me!  Here are some close-ups of the pinwheels:

The Paper Pumpkin Kit contained everything I needed to make these fun pinwheels:  The photopolymer stamps (party, celebrate, and stars), Night of Navy ink spot, large silver brads and clips, baker's twine, glue dots, Whisper White banners, straws, cello bags, and pinwheels).  The only thing I added was my Real Red ink pad and the crab stamp from the Sea Street stamp set.

The Summer Banner was made with the Maritime Designer Series Paper and Real Red, Night of Navy, and Whisper White card stock.  Cutting the banner pieces was easy-peasy lemon squeezy with the Banners Framelits, and I gave some texture to the Whisper White banners with the Arrows embossing folder.  I made this banner for my New Catalog Open House, and adding it to the red watering can was like icing on the cake!

RemARKable Stampers Pinworthy Blog Tour: Shape Up!

Welcome to the RemARKable Stampers Pinworthy Blog Tour!  This month's theme is "Shape Up!"  All of my projects today will feature different shapes:  circles, triangles, squares, hexagons, and rectangles. There are several fun stamp sets that feature these shapes in the 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! catalog.

My first card is a Double Z-Fold card.  The card base is 12 x 5 1/2" that is scored at 2", 4", 8", and 10".  I used Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay, and Tangerine Tango ink to stamp fun and funky shapes on Whisper White panels.  The shapes are from the Geometrical stamp set and the What's Your Type stamp set.

I closed the card with a belly band, and added 2 rhinestones to the word Hooray.  You could also add candy buttons instead of rhinestones, if you would like.

My second project features a funky fold -- a triangle easel fold.

"Mild-mannered" regular-looking card......

...transforms into a fun easel card!
This card is easy to make.  Start with a 4 1/4 x 11" card base scored at 5 1/2".  Place the front panel of the card in your paper trimmer, and line up the upper left corner and lower right corner on the cutting track.  Use your score blade to score the diagonal.  Fold, then include a greeting attached to the inside with Stampin' Dimensionals to hold your card open.

The key is your image on the front of the card should not have a right or wrong direction because it will flip when you open the card.  I will write a quick tutorial and take some more photos to show you all of the steps to the fun card.

Now it's time to see what Missy Bolinger has for us this month!  Click the icon below or click this link:  http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/missybolinger/blog

The 2014-2015 Stampin' Up! Catalog is HERE!

Wow -- what an exciting day!  The new Stampin' Up! Catalog is here, and you can now order brand new stamps, ink, and accessories.  Just go to http://nancyamato.stampinup.net, place your order, and enter Hostess Code HVDPKFW4 and receive a special gift from me!  You can view the new catalog online, too.

Thanks to all who came to my New Catalog Open House this weekend.  I had fun chatting with you about some new products, and I hope you enjoyed the Make & Take.  Here are some of my favorite new products:

One of my favorite new stamp sets is "Something for Baby."  There are coordinating framelits AND one of the piercing mats in the Eclectic Paper Piercing pack coordinates with a few of the stamps.  I am going to a baby shower in a few weeks, and I made a little banner to decorate my gift.  (I will take another photo of it once it is wrapped!)

I am a Project Life by Stampin' Up! fan, for sure!  It is so quick and easy to preserve your memories with Project Life.  I actually think I can get caught up with scrapbooking by using Project Life by Stampin' Up!

I will be featuring new products all this week, so come back tomorrow for an in-depth look at the "Something for Baby" products.  Woohoo!

Happy New Catalog Day,
