Be My Valentine

Here is the last card from January's Just Cards Class:  All You Need Is Love.

I just LOVE the new Bloomin' Love Photopolymer Bundle!  I saw a little sneak peak of the fabulous heart thinlit in a Periscope broadcast by Stampin' Up! and I knew I just had to have it!  I could not wait until I got this bundle in my hot little hands, and I have been creating with it ever since.

I like that it is versatile -- it is NOT just for Valentine's Day.  I am busy working on some cards that use this set for other occasions, and I will share them with you soon.  I also like how the artwork in this stamp set coordinates with the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.

Here is a close-up of the flowers attached to the heart:

I stamped the solid flower stamp with Blushing Bride ink onto Whisper White card stock, then stamped the outline flower stamp with Rose Red ink right over top.  It is easy-peasy to line these images up because the stamps and the thinlits have little "pointers" on them so you can line them up like a pro!

I attached the Rose Red heart to the Whisper White square with our 2-Way Glue Pen, then attached the flowers to the heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I finished the flowers with our Basic Pearls for a romantic look.

The Whisper White layer was attached to a Rose Red layer, then the whole thing was attached to the Blushing Bride card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Be Mine banner was attached to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, as well.

Perfect Wedding Card

Here is the third card we made at my Just Cards Class:  All You Need Is Love.

We used Crumb Cake, Blackberry Bliss, and Very Vanilla card stock with Blackberry Bliss ink.  Blackberry Bliss is one of my all-time favorite In Colors!  This is one of the 2014-2016 In Colors, so be sure to get it before it retires at the end of May.  In fact, I always suggest that people stock up on the retiring In Color products they want during Sale-A-Bration.  They can select a free Sale-A-Bration item for each $50 order they place (before tax and shipping).

Here are the supplies we used for this card:

You Mean The World To Me!

Here is another card from my Just Cards Class:  All You Need Is Love:

I used Lost Lagoon, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Sahara Sand card stock for this card.  Where did I get that color scheme?  Well, I pulled it right from the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack!

Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack
#140581   $8.00

One of my favorite new products is the World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This embossing folder is great from masculine cards, travel cards, and memory-keeping.  So versatile -- I love it!

World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
#138289   $7.50
We used Sahara Sand card stock with the World Traveler embossing folder, then sponged Sahara Sand ink along the edges and over the embossed areas to give it more depth.  SNAIL adhesive was used to attach it to the Basic Black layer.

I cut 3 pieces of the Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack in 1/2, 3/4, and 1-inch widths, then layered them together.  They were attached to the center of the Sahara Sand layer with SNAIL adhesive, too.

The globe stamp was inked with Delightful Dijon ink and stamped off once on scrap paper, then stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock.  The greeting was inked with Momento Tuxedo Black and stamped right over top of the Delightful Dijon.  We cleaned the stamp, then inked it with Lost Lagoon ink and stamped it on Lost Lagoon card stock.

Next, we used our Paper Snips to fussy cut out the banner with the word "Love" in it.  The globe was punched out with our 2" Circle Punch, then the Lost Lagoon Love piece was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The whole thing was then attached over top of the Designer Series Paper strips with Stampin' Dimensionals.
You know I love Stampin' Dimensionals, and they were used once again to attach the Basic Black layer to the Lost Lagoon card front.

We used the globe stamp and Delightful Dijon ink on the inside of the card, once again stamping off once on our scrap paper and then stamping on the Very Vanilla panel.  The greeting was stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink over top.  The layers were attached to the inside of the card with SNAIL adhesive.

I hope you like this card!  Here are the products we used to create it:

Just Cards Class: All You Need Is Love

February is just around the corner, so the theme of January's Just Cards Class is "All You Need Is Love."  These cards are perfect for Valentine's Day or just to say "I love you" to someone special. Here is the first card:

This is a quick and easy card -- only one stamp is used!  The inside greeting is from the fabulous Suite Sayings stamp set.

Suite Sayings
Wood-mount  #140709   $29.00
Clear-mount   #140712   $21.00
I pulled the color scheme for this card right from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack.

Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack
#140548   $8.00

I used our Sweetheart Punch to cut 3 hearts for the front of the card. The Crumb Cake layer was embossed with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then attached to the Rose Red card front with SNAIL adhesive.  The Blushing Bride card stock was layered on top of the Rose Red, then attached to the Crumb Cake layer.  The 3 hearts were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals, and the Whisper White Baker's Twine bows were added with Glue Dots.  I added a small strip of Designer Series Paper at the bottom of the inside panel to coordinate with the hearts on the front of the card.

I hope you enjoyed this card!  It would work for Valentine's Day, or as an all-occasion card for someone special.  Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

"Snow" time to blog!

I apologize for the radio silence that last few days, but we have been a bit busy with a little storm named Jonas.  We had almost 30 inches of snow here in my little corner of the world!

Between preparing for the storm (bread, milk, and toilet paper!) and cleaning up after the storm (I think we need to invest in a snowblower!), I have not had much time to create or blog.

However, I am sitting here on the couch now with some ibuprofen on board for my sore muscles so now is the perfect time to write! I think I can type without hurting -- LOL!

So, I will finally have more information about the projects of my Just Cards Class:  All You Need Is Love.  Come back soon!

Just Cards Class: All You Need Is Love

Each month, I hold several sessions of a Just Cards Class where we make 4 cards plus envelopes.  The Just Cards Class has a new theme each month, and the theme for January is "All You Need Is Love."  Here are the cards we are making this month:

I held my first session of this class today, and my stamping friends really enjoyed the cards.  I will be featuring each of these cards on my blog this week.  Come back and learn more beginning Monday, January 18.

New Year, New Products!

Hello, and welcome to the blog tour!  It is a brand new year, so we are featuring brand new products from the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalog for this month.

If you have not yet seen the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog, hold onto your hats!  Wowza -- so many cute stamp sets and bundles (14 in all!) in the Occasions Catalog.  It was so easy for me to get lots of FREE Sale-A-Bration items with my order!  Yep -- You get to select a FREE Sale-A-Bration item with each $50 order you place (before tax and shipping).  And, if your order totals $250 or more, you get and extra $25 in Stampin' Rewards.

One of my favorite Bundles in the Occasions Catalog is the Party With Cake stamp set and the Party Pop-Ups Thinlits Dies on page 7.

Wood-mount   #140815   $49.25
Clear-mount   #140814   $42.50

My project this month is the pop-up birthday card we made today at Stamp Club:

Inside of card

Top view of card

This is a fun pop-up card!  This card uses two pieces of Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 -- one for the card base, and one for the inside pop-up.

We used the "Hip Hip Hooray" Thinlit Die on a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and scored at 4 1/4 inches.  The die has "pointers" on it to help you properly align it on the fold.  (Helpful hint:  place a piece of waxed paper between the cardstock and die for easy removal of the die.)

I wanted to place a piece of the fabulous It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack behind the pop-up to accentuate the pop-up.
It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack
#140552     $26.00 for 48 sheets
I chose the paper with the candles on it to make the Whisper White cardstock really pop!  Just cut a piece of designer series paper at
4 1/2 x 3 1/2 and score it at 2 1/4.  Use SNAIL to adhere it to the center of the base card, making sure you line up the score lines.

Next, use SNAIL to adhere the Pop-Up card to the base card, making sure you only add SNAIL to the outside edges of the Pop-Up card.

We finished off the card front with a layer of Basic Black cardstock, and then a layer of Whisper White cardstock embossed with the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
#140592   $7.50
We used Silver Glimmer Paper to cut the birthday cake from the Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies.  Simply snip off the extra pieces, then use a 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere it to the embossed Whisper White layer.  A little bow with the Melon Mambo from the Baker's Twine Combo Pack was attached to the base of the cake stand with a glue dot.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach this layered piece to the card front.  I am not going to lie -- this card is a little heavy, and it would probably require extra postage.  :-)  The Stamp Club ladies loved it, and I hope you did, too.

Of course, it is Sale-A-Bration, and that means FREE products for each $50 order (before tax & shipping).  Here is one of the cards from my Sale-A-Bration Open House:

Flowering Fields
Wood-mount   #141300  FREE
Clear-mount   #141303   FREE
These flowers were stamped with StazOn Black ink and colored with Blender Pens and our Classic Ink Pads.  You can stamp these flowers in any order you want!  Each combination gives you a different look, but all are beautiful.  The Whisper White card stock is layered onto Basic Black card stock.  The Basic Black card stock is attached to the Pool Party card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Now, it is time to see what Missy has created for us this month!
