I LOVE the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack

How gorgeous is this?

This is the close-up of one of the cards we made yesterday at my Sale-A-Bration Open House.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack, one of the items you can get for FREE during Sale-A-Bration.  But, you have to hurry -- Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow, March 31, 2015!

Here is a shot of the card front:

Lots of Sale-A-Bration products were used for this card!  In addition to the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack, we used the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper and the Simply Wonderful Stamp Set.

Here is the inside of the card:

I used Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, and Basic Gray as my color scheme.  Remember, Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Baked Brown Sugar are the 2013-2015 In Colors and will retire at the end of May.  I STRONGLY suggest you get your orders in for card stock, ink pads, ink refills, and twine in these colors as soon as possible!  I have seen it happen every year -- the products in the retiring In Colors sell out well before May 31!

Off to the dentist today -- I will add the supply list to this post when I get home with my sparkly teeth!  LOL

Basket Full Of Posies Card

Spring is here (even though it doesn't quite feel like it here in MD!), and my bulbs are starting to grow in my garden.  I cannot wait until they bloom, so I will have to settle for stamping flowers until then.

Here is a card that I made for a recent color challenge:

This is one of the cards we will be making at my Just Cards Class: Spring Flowers in April.  The bright and cheery colors put a smile on my face!  Plus, do you see the little basket?  It is part of the Berry Basket Bigz Die.

Here is a closer view of the flowers:

I love layering colors of ink!  I stamped the Daffodil Delight flower once at full strength, then again without re-inking the stamp.  I did the same with the Tempting Turquoise flower.  Then, I stamped smaller images on top of the lighter flowers with full-strength ink. Cutting out the flowers and leaves was easy-peasy with the Flower Fair Framelits Dies.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card:

You can order the supplies to make this card on my website.  I hope this card inspires you to stamp something today!

Cards for Cancer Survivors

I recently stamped some quick and easy cards to donate to a local hospital. The Oncology Support Services department at Greater Baltimore Medical Center's Sandra and Malcolm Berman Cancer Institute gives comfort bags to women diagnosed with gynecological cancers.  One of the items in the comfort bag is a set of 4 thank you cards the women can use to thank people for their support as they fight cancer.  Many times, friends and family will make meals, provide transportation, send get well cards, run errands, and do countless other things to help women when they are in treatment. This set of thank you cards lets these women have cards on hand to jot a quick note of thanks to those loved ones.

The cards are simple, but beautiful (if I must say so myself -- LOL!).  Here is a group shot of the latest round of cards:

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has been one of the greatest joys and blessings in my life.  I have met so many wonderful people and have grown so much through this hobby of papercrafting.  The Stampin' Up! Statement of the Heart reads:
"To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments ... in this we make a difference."
I hope these cards will make a difference in the lives of the women who receive them in the comfort bags.  I encourage all of you to stamp a card and send it to someone special.  You will never know what a difference it can make.

The Key Note Speaker at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference this year was Jason Wright.  He talked with us about the importance of reaching out to others, and the lasting effect it can have in our lives.  Here is a small part of his speech (get your tissues ready for the second video):

Make a difference in someone's life today with a hand-stamped card!

More Items to Choose From for Sale-A-Bration!

Stampin' Up! recently announced the Blendabilities line of alcohol markers is being discontinued due to quality control issues.  While I will miss this product, I applaud Stampin' Up! for pulling the line instead of selling a product that does not meet their strict quality standards.  Several of the Blendabilities sets were one of the options you could choose for Sale-A-Bration, so now Stampin' Up! has announced the following products will be available in their place:

You can choose any one of these items for each order of $50 or more during Sale-A-Bration.  Sale-A-Bration ends on March 31, 2015 so be sure to place your order before then!

Butterfly Basics Collage Card

Hello!  Today, I would like to show you the last project we made at Stamp Club last week:

I just love, love, love the images in the Butterfly Basics stamp set! They are perfect for collage stamping, so I paired them with the Dictionary background stamp for this card.  Here is a closer shot of the front of the card:

Collage stamping is a fun technique!  You keep layering color and images on top of each other to give depth and detail to your design. I started with the Dictionary background stamp, then stamped the ferns.  The honeycomb was stamped next, then the greeting on top. The flower was stamped, then I added the small circle stamp in the bottom corner.  I stamped the butterfly in the upper left corner and also on a scrap of Very Vanilla card stock.  I punched it out and layered it on top of the card with a Stampin' Dimensional.

Here is the inside of the card:

I added the fern images on the inside of the card and on the envelope to carry the theme throughout all of the pieces.  Here are the supplies I used for this project:

Pull out some stamps and ink and give collage stamping a try! Leave a comment and let me know about your project.
