Don't Miss Out!

Where did September go?  Is it just me, or does it seem like Labor Day was just a few days ago?  I wanted to remind you of a great special that will be over on September 30, 2013.

You can save 15% when you buy the Papillion Potpourri stamp set and Bitty Butterfly punch together.  But, this special ends on September 30th!  Don't miss out!

Be sure to use Catalog #135311 for the Clear Mount Stamp set and Bitty Butterfly Punch (regular price $30.90, sale price is $26.27!) or Catalog #135312 for the Wood Mount Stamp set and Bitty Butterfly Punch (regular price $34.90, sale price is $29.67!).

Butterflies are very trendy and versatile.  I just love the dimension some punched butterflies can give to a card, home d├ęcor item, or scrapbook page.

Order your bundle online and use Hostess Code NAB6JUHE for a chance to win the Hostess Dollars.  If this order totals at least $150.00 in merchandise, I will randomly pick one name to win the Hostess Dollars.  Woohoo!

Have a great day!

RemARKable Stampers Best of Halloween Blog Tour

Hello!  There is a definite chill in the air, and Halloween will be here before we know it.  This month we will be showcasing the Best of Halloween Stamp Set.

Best of Halloween
#134381  Clear Mount Only  $14.95
I had lots of fun using this stamp set!  Here is my first card:

I used the new Label Thinlits Die to make this fun "flip-flop" card.  I used a piece of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock for the card.  When I cut it, I made sure the end furthest away from the label was on top of the Thinlit Die.  I did not want that edge to be cut, so I just pulled it through and placed it on top of the die.  I decorated this card with some of the gorgeous Witches' Brew Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape.

The haunted house was stamped with StazOn Black ink on Very Vanilla card stock.  I simply colored the moon and the windows with my Summer Starfruit Stampin' Write Marker.  A bow on the front panel finishes it off.

My second card also features our Witches' Brew Designer Series Paper and I added a little sparkle with our Silver Glimmer Paper and three of our Basic Rhinestones.

Now, this image does not have a moon in it, but I wanted to have a full moon behind that old tree.  I used a scrap of card stock and punched a hole with our 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  I placed it over the stamped image and added some Summer Starfruit ink with a Sponge Dauber.  Lift up the scrap of paper and you have a moon!  I colored the eyes of the owl with my Summer Starfruit marker.

My final project today features our oh-so-sparkly Black and Orange Stampin' Glitter.  I LOVE this stuff!  I used our Heat & Stick Powder to attach the Black Glitter, then I added a piece of Sticky Strip at the base of the hat and poured the Orange Glitter over it for a cute little band around the hat.  What do you think?

I added layers of the Witches' Brew Washi Tape and colored two Rhinestones with a Black Sharpie marker to embellish the greeting from our Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  This photo shows the oh-so-sparkly hat a little better.

I hope you enjoyed these projects!  Now, it is time to visit Melissa Bollinger and see what great ideas she has for us.  Enjoy the Blog Tour!

Refreshed and Renewed!

Hello!  I apologize for the lack of posts, but I was on vacation in Maine this last week.  The weather was gorgeous, and we could see the slightest hint of color in the trees.  We spent time in Acadia National Park (my favorite!), Bar Harbor, Ogunquit, and Boothbay Harbor.  Now, I am home feeling refreshed and renewed and ready for a busy Fall.  I am adding classes to my calendar and preparing for several craft shows.

I could bore you for DAYS with the photos I took, but here is a collage thanks to the new My Digital Studio Download called Simply Life Photo Templates.  This Digital Download was just released this week, and it could not have come at a better time since I took so many photos!

Simply Life Photo Templates Digital Download
#135245   $7.95
Here are a few photos that I simply dragged and dropped right into the Simply Life Photo Templates.  Enjoy!  Also, be sure to stop back on Sunday for another RemARKable Stampers 25th Anniversary Blog Tour.  See you then!

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour!

Hello, and welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour!  Weren't Janet's creations just beautiful?  This month, we are featuring creations using products in the Holiday Mini Catalog:  Magnificent Maple or Halloween Bash.  I chose to feature projects created with the Magnificent Maple stamp.
Magnificent Maple
#131868  Wood Mount Only  $9.95
This stamp is one of my favorites!  It lends itself well to Autumn-themed cards, and the lines in the image also make it the perfect stamp for a masculine card.

My cards for this blog tour are very easy and perfect for the beginning stamper.  If you are new to stamping, I would recommend this stamp.

I used Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla card stock to make a simple thank you card.  I stamped the Magnificent Maple image in Cajun Craze ink full strength and also stamped off once to get the lighter version.  I layered the stamped piece on top of two pieces of our "perfect for Autumn" 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon.  I LOVE the texture of this Burlap Ribbon.

I attached the Burlap Ribbon to the card front with Sticky Strip, then I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the stamped piece to the Burlap Ribbon.  The Stampin' Dimensionals give it a little pop off the front of the card.

My second project is a birthday card that has a masculine feel.  I chose Basic Gray, Whisper White, and Crushed Curry as my color scheme.  The Magnificent Maple is stamped in Crushed Curry, and the birthday greeting is stamped with Basic Gray.

I gave the front of the card a "pinstripe" feel by scoring a vertical line every 1/4" on the front of the card.  Quick and easy card, but so elegant!

My final project also uses the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon, but in a different way.  Can you find it?

This card features the Magnificent Maple stamp and Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Always Artichoke, and Crushed Curry ink.  I stamped in each color to make a background that certainly says "Autumn" to me.  I stamped one maple leaf with Crumb Cake ink and cut it out with my paper snips.  I used Cajun Craze ink to stamp the "Thank You" on this leaf, then I attached it to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some pop.  Have you found the Burlap Ribbon yet?  Well, here's a hint:

I cut the edging off of a piece of ribbon and pulled threads from it to make this knot.  I love how the threads are crimped.  I simply gathered some threads together, tied them in a single knot, trimmed the ends and attached it to the base of the leaf with a Mini Glue Dot.

All of the greetings are from the Blooming With Kindness stamp set.  I hope you enjoyed these projects!  Now it is time to see Melissa Bollinger's beautiful creations.  Thanks for stopping by!

NEW Envelope Punch Board!!!!

Happy, happy, joy, joy -- I have a new creative toy!  I received my Envelope Punch Board (#133774, $19.95) last week, and I have been making envelopes like a crazy lady.  (Those of you who have met me are smiling because you KNOW I am a crazy lady anyway!!)  This great little gadget is so easy to use -- I had a chance to play with it this summer at the Stampin' Up! Convention, so when it became available for demonstrators to order, I jumped at the chance.  You can make a variety of envelope sizes, and the handy-dandy chart on the board gives you the measurements you need.

I am so excited about this new Envelope Punch Board, and I am offering a special to everyone who orders it from me during the month of September.  I will be designing a class using this new tool and you are invited to attend this class for FREE when you order the Envelope Punch Board through me as your Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  If you do not live in the Baltimore area, no worries!  I will send the class instructions and supplies to you so you can enjoy the class in your home.  Just go to my website, go to the bottom of my home page and click on the blue Shop Now bar and that will take you to my online store.  The Envelope Punch Board is listed under Tools and Adhesives.  Just enter catalog number 133774 for the Envelope Punch Board.  Of course, if you need other items, go ahead and add them to your order.  When you are ready to check out, be sure to enter the Hostess Code

If I receive orders that total at least $150 through this Hostess Code, I will select one lucky winner of the Hostess Dollars!  That's at least $25 Hostess Dollars you may have a chance to win just by ordering through my website.  I will contact the winner on September 30th to find out what products they would like to order using their Hostess Dollars.  Remember, you must enter the Hostess Code shown above before you check out.  Here is what the prompt looks like:

Do you have a hostess code? Enter it here and click Apply: (?)

If you want to see how easy it is to use our new Envelope Punch Board, take a look at this video from Stampin'  Up!

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Have a great day!

Tape It Christmas Tree Tag

This project shows the versatility of the Tape It stamp set.  The first time I saw it, I thought about the Christmas tree I made last year with graduated lengths of Designer Series Paper.  And, the ol' brain started thinking about using the Tape It stamp set to make different lengths of faux washi tape to create a Christmas tree.  And, that is how this tag was "born!"

I stamped different patterns from the Tape It stamp set in Old Olive ink onto Whisper White card stock.  I used my Paper Snips to cut them out, and then I trimmed each piece 1/4" smaller than the one below it.

The base of the tag was cut with the Oval Accent Bigz Clear Die from Real Red card stock.  I embossed the tag base with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  A thin strip of Early Espresso card stock was layered on top as the tree trunk.  The branches were attached to the tag base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I used the Cupcake Builder Punch and some scraps of Silver Glimmer Paper to add some sparkly ornaments to the tree.  A loop of Silver 1/8" Ribbon at the top of the tag lets you hang it from a gift.

Have a great day!
