Last-Minute Holiday Ideas from the RemARKable Stampers

Are you a "Last-Minute Lucy?"  I know I am, although I am trying to change this.  :-)  It is a busy time of the year, but there is always time for creating!  So, this month's theme for the RemARKable Stampers blog tour is "Last-Minute Holiday Ideas."

The first project is a cute little ornament you can hang on the tree or use as decoration on a gift.  I just love this little penguin from the Snow Place stamp set, and I am so happy this stamp set and the coordinating framelits are going to carry over!  Yippee!!!  I dressed him in a Real Red scarf and earmuffs to keep him warm in the snow.  Isn't he just the cutest?

Snow Place Photopolymer Bundle    #140844    $45.00

The next project is quick and easy!  This ornament is made with strips of our gorgeous Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum -- on sale now for only $7.70!

Oh, What Fun Stamp Set    #140386    $21.00
Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum    #139597    $11.00  NOW $7.70

I cut 1/2" strips of the red striped designer series paper and curled them with the bone folder.  My ornaments are "snap-together" ornaments, so I simply filled an ornament with some curled strips of paper and snapped it together.  I stamped the greeting with Real Red ink, and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. I pierced a hole in the top corner, then threaded some Silver Cording Trim through it and tied it to the top of the ornament.

My final project gives you a little sneak peek of a new product that you can find in the new Occasions Catalog that launches on January 5, 2016.  I love the new World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder!  Demonstrators can pre-order new products before the general public, and this was the first item on my pre-order list!

Holly Jolly Greetings Clear Mount Bundle    #140865    $31.25
Embellished Ornaments Clear Mount Bundle    #140857    $41.50

I wanted to make a card that could be used for either Christmas or Hanukkah, and this "Peace on Earth" card fills the bill.  The Holly Jolly Greetings Stamp Set, Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies, and the Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Dies are all carrying over as well. Yippee!  The sparkle from the silver glimmer paper ornament is hard to capture.  It is beautiful!

So, I hope you have enjoyed these projects.  I can't wait to see what Missy has created for us this month!  Just click on the icon below or click on this link:  http://creativeblessingsbymissy.blogspot.com/2015/12/remarkable-blog-tour-last-minute-gifts.html

Bundle Up For The Holidays!

The Holiday Catalog has so many wonderful bundles, and we are going to be featuring projects created with these bundles.  I have had a few sessions of my Holiday Stamp-A-Stack, and I am excited to share this card with you!  This cards wins the award for the "sparkliest" card of the bunch!  LOL

Lots of bling on this card, right?  Silver Glimmer Paper, rhinestones, and the beautiful Winter Wonderland embellishments....oh, so sparkly!

Here is a close-up of all the details:

This card was made with the Flurry of Wishes Bundle from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The Bundle contains the Flurry of Wishes photopolymer stamp set and the Snow Flurry Punch.

Flurry of Wishes  Bundle   #140868   $33.00

The Snow Flurry Punch coordinates with the two small snowflakes in the stamp set.  And, the Flower Medallion Punch coordinates with the large snowflake.

Flower Medallion Punch   #137417  $18.00

We used Lost Lagoon, Smoky Slate, and Pool Party ink for this card.  Each snowflake was layered onto a Silver Glimmer Paper snowflake with a Stampin' Dimensional, and then attached to the card front.  The large snowflake was embellished with a Winter Wonderland embellishment, and the medium and small snowflakes were embellished with medium and small rhinestones.

I hope you like this card!  It was a fun card to make, and the ladies really enjoyed making it.

Now, it is time to move on to see what Missy has for us this month. I am sure it will be RemARKable!  Just click on the icon below:

Ho! Ho! Ho! Busy, busy, busy!

I have been cutting and embossing paper like a fool lately!  It is Holiday Stamp-A-Stack time, and I have been very busy prepping for these fun events.  My customers have enjoyed making 20 cards at these events, and I have one more on the books for November 21.  I designed 5 different cards, and each person makes 4 each of the 5 designs plus envelopes.  It has been a lot of fun!

This week, I would like to share the cards with you.  Hopefully, you will find some inspiration for your holiday cards.  So, without further ado, here is the first card:

The Red Foil Sheets are paired with Silver Glimmer Paper for a beautiful, sparkly card!  It is hard to capture the sparkle with my camera, but this card is simply stunning.  Here is a close-up:

The front of the card is embossed with the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Embossing folder to frame the ornament. The word "merry" is cut with the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies. These dies also contain the words "peace" and "jolly."

I used my Delicate Ornaments Thinlits Dies to cut the Silver Glimmer Paper solid ornament and the Red Foil detail ornament. I glued the two together and added a Silver Glimmer Paper ornament hanger (also a part of the thinlits dies) and a silver cording bow to complete the look.  Of course, I had to use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the ornament to the card front. (You know how I love to use Stampin' Dimensionals!)

I am so lucky to have such great stamping friends!  Here are some photos from the Holiday Stamp-A-Stack sessions:

And, here is my scrap pile from making the ornaments!  LOL

Happy Stamping,

RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour: Home For The Holidays

Well, it is the second Thursday of the month, so it must be time for another RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour!  The Holiday Catalog is fabulous this year -- so many bundles to choose from, gorgeous Designer Series Paper, accessories, stamps -- I want it all, don't you?  So, this month's tour will feature projects that showcase these wonderful Holiday Catalog products.

I decided to use the A Little Something Bundle this month.

A Little Something Bundle
Clear Mount  #140859   $42.50
Wood Mount   #140858   $47.50

And, here is what I made:

I just love the Square Pillow Box Framelits Dies -- Perfect size for a gift card, candy, tea bags, or a cello bag full of little cookies. Here is a close-up of the Halloween treat holder:

This has some sweet treats inside and will be on its way to Sweet Caroline in Virginia tomorrow!  It was easy-peasy with the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper and the Spider Web Doilies.  I punched a circle of Tangelo Twist cardstock and placed it behind the doily so you could see the beautiful design.

The next project was something my Stamp Club ladies made this afternoon:

Again, easy-peasy with our beautiful Into The Woods Designer Series Paper.  We stamped a few leaves, cut them out with framelits, and arranged them on top of the burlap ribbon.  The little "strings" are threads we pulled from a piece of burlap ribbon and looped on top of the leaves.  We stuffed the boxes with some pumpkin spiced Chai teabags for a fun little gift.

I hope you liked these projects, and be sure to continue on the tour to see all of the RemARKable creations made by my teammates. The next stop on the tour is Missy -- just click on the icon below!

Autumn Birch Trees

We visited Maine last month, and I love to see the beautiful birch trees in Acadia National Park.  That is why I had to order the new Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder right away!

We ate lunch one day next to these beautiful birch trees.  I love Acadia National Park!
The trees were just starting to change color when we were in Acadia National Park, and I can only imagine how beautiful they must be at peak leaf-peeping season. The beauty of nature inspired me to make this card:

Here is a close-up of the background:

I used the Sheltering Tree stamp set to stamp different colors of leaves on the inside of the embossing folder.  Open the embossing folder, and stamp on the inside of the half that has the Sizzix logo printed on it (the "flat" side).  I inked the leaf stamp in Dafffodil Delight, then stamped directly on the embossing folder in a few different places.

Clean off the stamp, then ink with Tangelo Twist and stamp on the embossing folder in a few different places -- be sure to clean the stamp each time so you don't transfer ink from the folder back into your ink pad.  Do the same with Rich Razzleberry ink, then finally with Crumb Cake ink.  Place the Whisper White cardstock in the embossing folder, put it between two clear plates, and run it through the Big Shop machine on tab 2 of the multipurpose platform. The ink will be transferred to the paper as the trees are embossed on the paper.

The Whisper White layers on the inside and outside of the card measure 3 3/4" by 5" which leaves you the perfect size "scrap" for the greeting.  I used a stamp from the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit to stamp the 1" x 5" scrap with Momento ink.

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit  #140406  $35.00

Here is the inside of the card:

The greeting is from the Petite Pairs stamp set, and I added a Rich Razzleberry leaf from the Vintage Leaves stamp set to the bottom corner.

I hope you (and my friend!) like this card.  Remember, the RemARKable Stampers Blog Tour begins tomorrow night at 8 PM ET.  Be sure to stop back and see lots of great ideas!

Happy Stamping,

Stamp Out Breast Cancer!

Far too many families are affected by breast cancer, and mine is no exception.  This is why I am so proud of Stampin' Up! for helping raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

To show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're going PINK . . . or at least our October boxes are! And because we know our subscribers want to share the love too, we will be making a donation on their behalf to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

Stampin' Up! will donate
  • $1 for every active Paper Pumpkin subscriber.
  • Plus, an additional $1 for every new subscriber.
Together, we will make a difference!

Here's how you can help:
  1. Subscribe! If you're new to Paper Pumpkin, click here to get started. Your first kit will arrive in a limited-edition pink box that you'll want to hold onto forever-and we'll donate $2 because you're new!
  2. Stay active if you're a subscriber so we can donate $1 for you. Only those who receive the October shipment will be counted for the donation.
  3. Spread the word! Help us get as many new subscribers as possible. Every current subscriber adds $1 and for new subscribers it's doubled, so let's get the word out and raise as much as possible.
Remember, those who get the October kit will not only be donating to a good cause, but they will also get a one-time only, pretty pink Paper Pumpkin box! No one will want to miss it. Promise.

Be sure to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin by October 10, 2015!  I love receiving my Paper Pumpkin Kit in the mail each month!  It is a great creative escape, and each kit contains stamps and an ink spot you can use for other projects, too!  Let me know if you have any questions.

Christmas is 3 Months Away...

I was looking at my calendar today, and it hit me -- Christmas is 3 months away!  How did that happen?  (smile)

Last week, we returned from a great vacation in Maine.  I had 2 events, so I had to prep materials for the cards quickly since I did not take any stamping with me.  And, yes -- my room has exploded once again.  Oh, well!  Creative minds are seldom tidy, right?

Here are the projects my Saturday Stampers and Stamp Club Ladies made this week.  Card #1 is the "Christmas Kitty Window card."

Christmas Kitty Window card

Detail of the Dazzling Diamond "snow" on the window sheet.
The second card uses Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo, and Blackberry Bliss ink to sponge a beautiful night sky.

The final card was featured in my September 10 blog post here. That penguin is just so stinkin' cute!

I hope these cards inspire you to start thinking about your Christmas cards this year.  My goal is to actually mail them before Christmas...

Happy Stamping,
