Stippled Blossoms makes beautiful cards

Stippled Blossoms was my Stamp of the Month for October, and here is one of the cards my Stamp of the Month members received.  I just love how easy it is to make these beautiful flowers with 2-Step Stamping and a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig.  I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the white areas of the flower to give it some extra sparkle.  Pink Pirouette and Rose Red coordinate so nicely for this card!

(I am writing and scheduling this post on Sunday night as Hurricane Sandy is approaching.  We have already lost our phone, so I am rushing to get this post done before we lose power.  I will write more when power and internet is restored -- or I make it out to a wifi hotspot after the storm passes -- lol.  I see a lot of Panera in my future this week!)

Fall foliage Get Well card

Here is a quick post I am pre-writing and pre-scheduling while we still have power.  I am hoping that doing this will somehow mean that we will not lose power with Hurricane Sandy.  (smile)  I made this card for the hubby of a good friend who has had a rough road with health concerns.  I just love these fall leaves!  I cut them using the Autumn Accents Bigz die and Daffodil Delight card stock.  I layered Cajun Craze and Early Espresso ink on the edges with sponge daubers, then crinkled the whole leaf up to get the wrinkles.  I used the Woodgrain embossing folder on some Cajun Craze cardstock, then sponged it with some Crumb Cake ink to bring out the grain.  I hope you like it!

Okay....here we go!

Well, the rain has started, and we are as ready as we ever will be for our "Frankenstorm" Sandy!  I AM looking forward to tomorrow for this reason:  the Sell-A-Stamp Spooktacular -- woohoo!

I will be placing an order, so let me know if you would like me to order anything for you.  This is a GREAT opportunity to get stamps at 15% off!  Just think of holiday gifts you could get for your crafty friends (or yourself!).  You can also place an order on my website http://nancyamato.stampinup.net.  The sale starts at 12 Midnight (MT) and ends at 11:50 PM (MT) on Monday, October 29.  So, don't miss out on this special sale.

I have been doing a little stamping, in between hurricane preparations -- lol.  Here is a little Halloween treat I made for some of the neighborhood kiddos.  Hopefully, trick or treat night will still go off without a hitch.  The mini milk carton die is the same die I used for the baby shower favors.  I used the same basic idea, but I added some Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper to the outside of the milk carton.

Have a great Halloween!  And, stay safe fellow east-coasters.

Oh, Sandy!

Well, it looks like we will be having some "interesting" weather over the next few days, so please pardon if I do not post regularly.  We are prepared for the storm, but we are not looking forward to it!  :-)

I will do my best to place your orders on Monday, October 29, for the Sell-A-Stamp Spooktacular.  It is ironic that they are calling this storm a "Frankenstorm" and it coincides with the Sell-A-Stamp Spooktacular!  It will be a Halloween to remember, that's for sure!

If you are interested in placing an order for the Sell-A-Stamp Spooktacular to save 15% on stamps and would like me to place the order for you, please send me an email with your order and payment information as soon as possible.  I am going to place an order when the Sell-A-Stamp Spooktacular  begins at 12 AM (MT), 2 AM (ET).  I will be setting an alarm and placing the order then since the storm will likely cause us to lose power, and the power may not be back for several days.  Of course, you can always place an order on my website http://nancyamato.stampinup.net.  If you would like me to place the order for you, I need to have your order and payment information by Sunday, October 28, at 11 PM.  Thanks so much for understanding!

Take care fellow east-coasters.  Be safe all!

Baby Shower Favors

Hello!  Our neighborhood hosted a baby shower for one of the neighbors, and I wanted to share what I made for the baby shower favors.

The baby shower favors are made with the Mini Milk Carton die and the Big Shot machine.  I stamped 4 of the images from the Baby Bundle stamp set (page 61 of the 2012-2013 Catalog), punched them out with the small scallop punch (Holiday Mini catalog), then layered them onto a 1 3/8" circle of Certainly Celery card stock.  The parents-to-be know that their little bundle will be a boy, so I used Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White for the favors.  These colors coordinated so nicely with the plates and napkins we used -- it was a totally "Martha" moment!  lol
I spray painted a willow basket with white semi-gloss paint, decorated it with a little ribbon, and filled it with the favors.  A fun project for a special little baby!

Here are the supplies I used for the favors:

Stamps:
Baby Bundle
Paper:
Bashful Blue
Certainly Celery
Whisper White
Ink:
Bashful Blue
Accessories:
Whisper White striped organza ribbon
1 3/8" Circle punch
1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch
Stampin' Dimensionals
Mini binder clips (office supply store)
Mini Milk Carton die
Big Shot machine
Fun-size bags of M&Ms (these fit perfectly inside the mini milk carton!)

Congratulations to our neighbors on their baby-to-be!  It will be great to have a new little boy in the neighborhood!

Fun Weekend of Creativity

Hello!  I hope you enjoyed the World Card Making Day blog hop yesterday!  WOW -- what a variety of cards for so many occasions -- I cannot wait to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) these cards this week.

I had a busy and fun weekend crafting at the RemARKable Hot Retreat in Pennsylvania.  Not much sleep (smile), but lots of fun with friends.  By Sunday, we were a little slap-happy, so we thought it was a perfect time to pose for our "photo booth" photo.

Stop by this week for more info on how to make the Designer Series Paper Christmas tree from World Card Making Day and more photos of cards I made this weekend.  Off to catch some ZZZZZZs -- see you tomorrow!

Well, it has been quite a day of inspiration from my fellow RemARKable Stampers!  I know I have several ideas I will be CASEing soon -- thank you, ladies!

My final card is one that I made for the Maryland State Fair this summer.  It was inspired by a card I saw on display at the Stampin' Up! Convention this summer.  I just LOVE our embossing folders, and I had fun mixing textures for this wedding card:

Happy World Card-Making Day!

Hello, stamping friends!  Happy World Card-Making Day!  You are in for a treat today -- a World Card-Making Day Blog Hop!  Take a look at all of the great ideas on this blog hop by clicking the  button shown at the end of this post. Each of us will be featuring 5 great cards for this blog hop, so be sure to stop back often to see our latest posts.

My first card features Lacy & Lovely, a stamp set that is new this year.  I just love how you can change the look of your card by swapping the ink colors!  I wanted this card to be bright and cheery, so I used Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, and So Saffron.

So, what do you think?  I found this color combination with my Stampin' Up! Color Coach.  It is a great source of inspiration and helps me "think outside the box" of my normal color choices.  This card was quick and easy -- a great one you can make several of and give as a gift.

Here are the supplies I used for this card:

Stamps:
Lacy & Lovely
Ink:
Rose Red
Wild Wasabi
So Saffron
Basic Black
Paper:
Wild Wasabi
Rose Red
Whisper White
Accessories:
Scallop Punch
Large Scallop Punch
1 3/8 Circle Punch
Wild Wasabi Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
