Stampin' Up! Fabric Frenzy

I just love Stampin' Up!'s beautiful fabric!  My friend, Karen, is an excellent seamstress and she has made two handbags for me using the yummy fabric from Stampin' Up!  I use one as my purse all the time, so I can certainly say that it wears well.  I am not at all easy on handbags and I have been using the same one for a year and a half.  I can wash it and put it in the dryer and it comes out looking great!

I also use Stampin' Up! fabric on cards and home decor items.  So, even if you are sewing-challenged (like me!) you can still use this beautiful fabric.  Our Big Shot machine and dies are the perfect way to get lots of great shapes, too.

NOW is the time to get our fabric for 50% off!  All items are limited quantity at the discounted price and the discount will be removed once the limit is reached. So shop early!  Here is a video from Stampin' Up! showcasing the many uses of our fabric.  Enjoy!

"A Round Array" Sneak Peek

Happy Spring, everyone!  It may be Spring, but it sure did not feel like it here today in Maryland.  It was nice and sunny, but the wind kept us in our coats another day.  But, the daffodils are blooming, I have seen a few robins, and the birds are chirping each morning, so I know the warm weather will not be far behind.  Yay!

This fun set will be in the 2013-2014 Catalog, but you can get your hands on it now.  And, you can get this set bundled with the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch (available in the Spring Occasions Mini Catalog on page 16) and save 15%.

RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour

Hello!  Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour.  This month's stamp set is "Ciao, Baby!" The images in this stamp set are the perfect size for the Petite Curly Label punch that you can get FREE during Sale-A-Bration with an order of $50 (before tax and shipping).  But, hurry -- Sale-A-Bration ends on March 22, 2013.  The 7/8" Scallop Circle punch is also perfect for this stamp set.
129645  $17.95  Wood Mount
129648  $13.95  Clear Mount
I made two cards -- one using the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch and one using the Petite Curly Label punch.  I got the inspiration for my first card from a gift bag I purchased at Target.

This gift bag coordinates perfectly with Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White!
Here's the card I made:

Close-up of the stamped image and lots of layers assembled with Stampin' Dimensionals!
I love layering with Stampin' Dimensionals, don't you?

I stamped the "Oh, baby" stamp with Bashful Blue ink onto Whisper White card stock and used the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch to punch it out.  Then, I pulled out some Stampin' Dimensionals and went to town on these layers!  I used the 1" Circle punch, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch, 1 3/8" Circle punch, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, and 2 3/8" Scallop Circle punch for the layers.

I used the 3/4" Circle punch, 1" Circle punch, and the 1 1/4" Circle punch and Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Chocolate Chip card stock to punch circles for the background.  Our Chocolate Chip 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon is the perfect touch and ties all of the elements together.

I was even a little "circle-happy" on the inside of the card:

Inside verse is from "Petite Pairs" stamp set.
Here are the supplies I used for this card:
Stamps:
Ciao, Baby!
Petite Pairs
Paper:
Whisper White
Chocolate Chip
Bashful Blue
Certainly Celery
Ink:
Bashful Blue
Chocolate Chip
Accessories:
Stampin' Dimensionals

7/8" Scallop Circle Punch
1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch
1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch
2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch

I just love the Petite Curly Label punch, so I wanted to use it for my second card. Doesn't it coordinate nicely with our Curly Label punch?  Remember, this punch is FREE during Sale-A-Bration!
This card also features stamps from "A Fitting Occasion", "Oh, Hello", and "A Word For You" stamp sets.
Here's a peek of the inside:

Introducing....Photopolymer Stamps from Stampin' Up!

WOW -- I am so excited for this news from Stampin' Up!  Here is the info, directly from Stampin' Up!:

We've searched long and hard for just the right material to be able to introduce completely clear stamping. And we've found it. We're excited to announce that we now have wood-mount, clear-mount AND photopolymer stamps! The new photopolymer will be an addition to our stamp line and will appeal to all types of stampers. Our top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time and with the introduction of our firm-foam pads, let's just say they're meant for each other! Photopolymer stamps will also be unique, fun designs that will inspire you and provide more versatile options you may not see in our traditional wood- and clear-mount stamp options.
What makes them so great?
  • They're entirely transparent for perfect placement every time!
  • They are durable. The photopolymer material is designed to last.
  • Can you say sticky? (Don't worry; in a good way.) These stamps stick amazingly well to our clear blocks.
  • They're age tested. They won't yellow or cloud up over time.
  • They use FDA, food-safe material. How far can you stretch your stamping creativity?
  • We could go on, but we'll let you try them for yourself.
They are clearly a great choice.

Photopolymer stamps will be offered on a trial basis, and will be packaged in a cello bag with an insert.  The first set is available now!  You can order the Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set with catalog number 132956 for $13.95.  This stamp set includes 57 pieces!  WOW!  I will be giving these babies a test drive, and I will let you know what I think.  They sound interesting to me.....how about you?
