Howl-O-Ween Printer's Tray Promotion is extended until September 16th!

Isn't this tray just the cutest thing ever?  And, you can use it for Halloween, then you can create inserts for each section for other holidays, too!  I was able to see this tray with my own eyes at the Stampin' Up! Convention this summer, and it is really nice.  Like....REALLY nice!  If I was not already a demonstrator, I would definitely join to get this baby.  How can you get this tray?  Well, simply join my team, the B-More Stampers, by September 16th, and this tray and all of the goodies in the photo (minus the vase and the sticks!) will be yours!  This is a $60 value!  You can create your own Halloween inserts and have this great home decor piece.  I think small Velcro dots on the back of the inserts and the bottom of the tray would be a great way to swap inserts for all different holidays throughout the year.

You can join my team by going to my website http://nancyamato.stampinup.net and clicking on the "Join The Fun" button right below my contact information.  You can watch a great little video, then click the "Join Now" button to the left of the video.  Let me know if you have any questions.  I would LOVE to have you on my team!  You can join my team regardless of where you live in the US.  I will help you via phone and email.

Our fully-customizable Starter Kit is only $99.  You get to choose $125 worth of product for your kit, plus you get $65 worth of business supplies, PLUS you get this Howl-o-ween Printers Tray Project Kit (a $60 value!) -- that's $250 worth of product for only $99!  What are you waiting for?  Don't miss out -- join today!

Faux Linen Technique

Hello!  Today's card features the Faux Linen technique.  This card was part of my "Say It Isn't Faux" class (pardon the pun,  at least I think it is funny!).  Here is the card:

This was one of my swaps at the Stampin' Up! Convention this summer.  Here's how you do the Faux Linen technique:

1.  Ink En Francais stamp with Daffodil Delight and stamp on GLOSSY card stock.  Let dry.
2.  Use your Stampin' Up! Sanding Block to sand this piece of card stock vertically, then horizontally.  You will be removing some of the ink and gloss from the surface of the paper.  Be sure to sand vertically then horizontally so you get a "grid-like" effect.  This will be what will give the impression of linen.  Wipe off dust with a microfiber cloth or a soft cloth.
3.  Use a Stampin' Sponge to add ink along the edges of this piece.  Randomly sponge some ink on the surface, too.  Repeat sanding vertically, then horizontally.  Wipe off dust again.
4.  Ink flower stamp from Serene Silhouettes with Basic Gray ink and stamp in center.  Let dry.  Lightly sand vertically, then horizontally.  Wipe off dust again.

I hope you give it a try!  It is a fun technique, although it is a little messy.  I think this stamping technique is a good excuse when you have unexpected guests and your furniture is dusty.  Just say, "Oh, I have been doing the Faux Linen technique with my Stampin' Up! supplies.  I guess the dust drifted onto the furniture!"  :-)

Christmas In July Card #5, and a special request

Hello!  This week has been very busy, and also very difficult.  A 17 year-old young man was shot during the first day of school by another student at a local high school.  Daniel is in critical condition at University of Maryland Shock Trauma.  Please keep him in your prayers.  I do not know this young man personally, but my heart goes out to him and his family.  The students are showing their support for Daniel with prayer services at nearby churches and a campaign on Facebook to ask Lady Gaga (his favorite) to visit him.  Here is a You Tube video they posted:

Thank you for allowing me to share this with you.  Now, onto the 5th and final card from my Christmas In July class.  This card was fun to do, and the ladies loved it!  I hope you do, too.

My First Ravens Game!

I attended my first Ravens Game last night!  (Actually, my first professional football game ever!)  I am a relatively new football fan, and I am still learning all the rules.  But, I wear my "purple pride" on game days and on Purple Fridays during the regular season.  So, you can just imagine how excited I was when I heard I had an opportunity to go to the game!  (Thanks to my brother-in-law and sister-in-law!)

I had a great time and, best of all, the Ravens WON!  Woohoo!  Back with more stamping this weekend!  (I promise.....I still need to post the final Christmas In July card.  See you soon!)

Late Night Stampers Fall Treasure Hunt

I recently joined the Late Night Stampers, a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators who share creative ideas and business tips on the web.  It is fun seeing different ideas from all over the country!  Well, I am happy to announce I am part of their Web Ring for the Fall Treasure Hunt!

Here's how it works:  You visit the blogs of other members of the Late Night Stampers and look for the "clues" each demonstrator has posted.  Once you collect 50 clues, send me an email at stampinnancy@gmail.com with the list of clues and the blogs where you found them and you will be entered into the drawing for a $150 Stampin' Up! shopping spree!  The drawing will be held on October 31st, and the winner will be notified by email.  I must receive your email by October 30th so I can enter your name in the drawing.

Now, here is my clue for the Treasure Hunt -- My Clue is the PETITE PURSE DIE.  This little purse is a fun favor for girls of all ages!  And, it is just the right size for some chocolate!

You can order this on my website http://nancyamato.stampinup.net.  (Catalog number 125606, $32.95)  Plus, if you add your name and email address to my mailing list, I will add your name to a special drawing I am having!  I will send a sampler of some Designer Series Paper and ribbon from the current Stampin' Up! catalog to 3 lucky winners!  Winners will be notified via email on October 31st.  Prizes will be mailed out as soon as I receive mailing addresses of the winners.  Good luck!

Are you ready to look for clues?  Okay -- go to http://latenitestampinwithsherill.blogspot.com/ and look for the Late Night Stamper WEB RING about halfway down on the left side.  Happy hunting!

Christmas In July Card #2

Here is the second card we made at the Christmas In July class.  I am typing this post on the road, so I will update it tomorrow with the list of supplies.  I know I used Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, and Old Olive for this card.  The new firm foam ink pads produce such crisp, clear images!  I love them!  Goodnight from (yet another) construction zone.  No worries....I am not driving!  It is dear hubby's turn to drive!

UPDATE:  Well, we are finally home and unpacked.  Of course, we had a bad storm here in Baltimore on Tuesday night, so that meant we had a yard full of leaves and sticks from the wind and some water in the basement -- Welcome home!  Heehee!  But, we did arrive home to good news from our niece -- we have a new little great-niece to love and spoil.  We were keeping in touch with family via facebook during the ride home, and we got the great news via text message that Juliette had arrived!  We cannot wait to meet her!

All About Family!

This past week was all about family.  After having 3 sessions of the Christmas In July class, it was time to enjoy some time with family and friends.  One day, my daughter and I went to Pennsylvania for a day of photography, food and fun (a little outlet shopping is always fun!).  This weekend, we celebrated my nephew's 6th birthday!  He is into superheroes in a BIG way, and I think he enjoyed his Spiderman card.  I will post a sample of the card this week.  (Yes -- I let him keep it, so I will make a sample!)

I wanted to let you know about a special promotion from Stampin' Up! for the month of August.  Join my team before August 31, and you will receive a fabulous kit that includes a tray that you can decorate for Halloween.  And, you can make inserts for other holidays, too.  Just add some Designer Series Paper, stamps, and family photos and you can create inserts for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, or any holiday.  What a great home decor item!  Contact me for more information about joining my team.
