Fabulous Bag Using Stampin' Up! Fabric!

I am so lucky to have a friend who is an excellent seamstress!  Especially, since I am "sewing-challenged."  I just love the different fabrics from Stampin' Up! and I can add them to cards and scrapbook pages, but look at what my friend made:
Is this fabulous, or what???  This bag uses the Sweet Stitches fabric.  It is reversible, washable, and just so stinkin' cute!  She designed pockets to hold our ink pads!

There are six pockets and each one holds two ink pads, so you can easily bring a dozen ink pads with you for stamping on-the-go.  The best part is, the bag is reversible, so you can choose to have the pockets on the inside or outside of the bag.  And, the new Stampin' Up! Scoring Tool fits perfectly inside!

Thank you, Karen, for your creativity!  Your tote bags are just fabulous (and so are you!!!).

The new Holiday Stocking Die is (pardon the pun) to die for!!!

When I first laid eyes on the new Holiday Mini Catalog, the first thing that caught my attention and started my creative wheels turning was the new Holiday Stocking Die for the Sizzix Big Shot machine.  I knew I just HAD to have it, so when it was time for demos to pre-order items, it was on the top of my wish list.  I immediately knew what I wanted to make with it -- and here it is!
I made this one and took it to a recent meeting at my upline's house.  It was not difficult to make, just a little time consuming!  I think I will offer this as a class this fall -- what do you think?  I attached the snowflakes to Stampin' Up! mini clothes pins with Tombow Multi, then clipped them onto the twine in between each stocking.  Here is a close-up of one of the stockings:
I layered the new Frostwood Lodge Designer Series Paper onto the heel and toe of the stocking, then added the "H" or the "O."  Once they were dry, I ran it through the Big Shot using the new Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing folder.  I ran the cuff of the stocking through separately, then attached.  I added some ribbon to the top for decoration, and then punched holes and threaded twine through.

I am sorry this post is a little late -- computer issues were finally solved -- yippee!  New battery, new power supply, no problems (hopefully).  I will be posting more fun ideas for the fall this weekend, so I hope you check back soon!  Take care!

The Holiday Mini Catalog is BEAUTIFUL!

The Holiday Mini Catalog is here, and it is beautiful!  I just love everything about it, especially the new stocking die for the Sizzix Big Shot machine.  I am working on a special project that I will post tomorrow, so check back soon.

I know I have not been very good about updating on a regular basis, so I am scheduling time in my week to work on my blog.  I have so much to learn!  Now that summer is winding down and vacation is over, I will be able to devote more time to my blog.  We had a great time in New Hampshire and Maine, and enjoyed our time at Acadia National Park.  If you have never visited Acadia, I strongly recommend it!  It is the most beautiful, serene place I know.

My team and I are hosting a special event on Saturday, October 15th, from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM.  Our Stamp Out Cancer event will help raise funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the American Cancer Society.  If you live in the Baltimore area, and are interested in this event, please send an email to bmorestampers@gmail.com.  I will be happy to send you all the details and a registration form.

Christmas In July!

Well....it was well over 100 degrees today, but I am thinking "Christmas!"  I am prepping supplies for my Christmas In July class with a tall glass of cold iced tea by my side.  Here is one of the cards we will be making:
I just love this new stamp set!  It is called "Beautiful Season" and it lends itself so easily to vintage-looking cards.  This card uses the colors Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake.  My absolute favorite detail about this card is the circular medallion shape with the yummy Cherry Cobbler seam binding woven in it:

LOVE IT!  This piece was cut using the Perfect Pennants die for the Sizzix Big Shot machine.  Yes -- this card takes a little time to make, but if I start now, I could have them done by December, right?  :-)

Come back soon for some more Christmas ideas!

Fabulous Fabric from Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! has included gorgeous fabric in the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog on page 196.  Favorites from previous mini catalogs are back:  Deck the Halls, Candy Cane Christmas, Springtime Vintage, and Sweet Stitches.  Three brand-new fabrics have been added:  Flirtatious, Timeless Portrait, and Beau Chateau.  These 100% cotton fabric assortments include three coordinated designes in an extra-wide fat quarter size.  Each piece measures approximately 27" x 18" -- a perfect size for use in our Big Shot machine.  I have seen so many cute projects made with Stampin' Up! fabric -- flower pins, tote bags, embellishments for scrapbook pages and greeting cards.  The fabric coordinates with Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colors making it easy to combine fabric and paper in so many fun ways!

New Hostess Benefits Program!

Stampin' Up! has announced a new Hostess Benefits Program!  There are still exclusive, Hostess-Only items.  The difference is that hostesses earn "Hostess Dollars" based on the total merchandise sales from their party.  Hostesses can choose to spend their "Hostess Dollars" on the Hostess-Only items OR regular catalog merchandise OR a combination of both!  WooHoo!  Each Hostess-Only item has a "price" assigned to it.  This is the amount of Hostess Dollars needed for that item. Another exciting feature of this new program is the 50% off benefit for parties of $400 or more!  If you have a $400 party, you not only earn $65 in Hostess Dollars, but you can also select one item for 50% off!  Perfect for ordering those higher-priced stamp sets, the Big Shot machine, or My Digital Studio!
I am booking parties now for the summer!  Contact me to book your date, and let me show you how I spoil my hostesses!  You will receive the new 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog for FREE and receive a special hostess gift at your party.  You invite your friends and I bring all of the supplies for the Make & Takes.  What could be easier?  Call or email me today to book your party!

Pennant Parade Christmas!

I know it is 90+ degrees outside, but I just had to make a Christmas card with the new Pennant Parade stamp set. I just love it! I used Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, and Real Red for this card. The flower pot and stem were inked with Real Red and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers, then stamped onto the Whisper White cardstock. The tree stamp was inked with Wild Wasabi, and the star was inked with Daffodil Delight. I added Dazzling Diamonds to the tree with our 2-Way Glue pen for a fun touch! I stamped "merry" once in Real Red and once in Wild Wasabi, then punched them out with our Jewelry Tag punch. I attached them with glue dots right below the Real Red 1/4 " Grosgrain Ribbon bow. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the tree and framing layers to the card front. Come back tomorrow for another post using new stamps!

Pennant Parade Sneak Peek

Hello! I just love the new Pennant Parade stamp set! It is very versatile, and I will be showing you samples in the next few days. This card uses the pennant as an ice cream cone -- perfect for the hot weather we have been having! I stamped the image with Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake card stock, then punched it out using the new Petite Pennants Builder punch. The scoops of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream were punched with the Cupcake Builder punch using Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, and Regal Rose card stock. The striped Designer Series Paper is from the new Just Add Cake Designer Series Paper pack. The yummy ribbon is also new and is one of my favorites! It is called Scallop Dots Ribbon, and it is 1/2" wide. The best part is that it has polka dots on one side, and solid color on the other. I used the Scallop Dots Ribbon in Chocolate Chip for this card. Come back tomorrow for another card featuring the Pennant Parade stamp set!

"Delicate Doilies" will be available in wood-mount for $21.95 and clear-mount for $16.95. Images in this set also coordinate with our punches -- How fun is that? The large doily to the left in Pool Party coordinates with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch, the doily next to it in Wisteria Wonder coordinates with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch, and the doily next to that in Lucky Limeade coordinates with the Doily Triple Layer punch. Plus, these images will also be available as a My Digital Studio download. This card will be one of the Make & Takes at my New Catalog Open House on July 9th. Final Bon Voyage Project!

Here is the final card we made last week at my Bon Voyage Party. This card features the Great Friend and Fresh Cuts stamp sets. I punched through the front panel so the greeting is visible when the card is folded even though it is adhered to the inside panel. I love the color combination of Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler -- that even sounds like something I would love to eat, too! :-) Stop by soon for some projects made with NEW items that will be available in the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog! Have a great day!

Friends 24-7

Hello! Well, don't fall off you chair -- I am actually posting less than 24 hours from my last post! If it weren't the first day of summer, I would tell you to get the snow shovel ready for a blizzard! This is one of the cards we made at my Bon Voyage Party last week. I am so sad to see Friends 24-7 retire. It has been one of my favorites, and I will keep it on my shelf long after it retires next week. I love the color combination of Whisper White, Baja Breeze, and Chocolate Chip. I also used two stamps from the All Holidays stamp set: the "for you" on the front panel, and "My Dear Kind & Wonderful Friend" for the inside of the card. This card is a Gate-fold card, one of my favorite types of cards. You can still order both of these stamp sets online -- just click the round button next to this post and you will be connected to my demonstrator business website. Scroll to the bottom of my page, and click on Shop Now. Be sure to stop by tomorrow for another Bon Voyage creation! Happy 1st day of Summer!

Strength and Hope Class Projects

Hello! I AM back -- the end of May and beginning of June are always crazy, aren't they? The end of the school year always seems to be a whirlwind! Plus, the "Stampin' Up! year" also comes to a close in June as well. Remember that the Last Chance stamps will be available until June 30, but the retiring accessories are only available while supplies last. You can shop for Stampin' Up! merchandise on my demonstrator website http://nancyamato.stampinup.net. This photo shows the projects we made at my Strength and Hope class in May. Everyone attending this class made a donation to my Relay for Life team (thank you!), and I was able to raise over $100 for the American Cancer Society. This stamp set is in the Summer Mini Catalog, and will be available for purchase until August 30, 2011. $2 from the sale of each set will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I hope you like these projects! I will post photos of the projects we made at my "Bon Voyage" party tomorrow. Please come back tomorrow!

Gratitude Journal

Hello! Can you believe it -- another post! My goal is to post regularly, so please be sure to check back often. This journal started out as a $1 Composition Book from the school supply section. I covered it with the yummy Springtime Vintage designer series paper you can find in the Occasions Mini catalog. I "aged" the edges and the spine of the notebook by sponging Crumb Cake ink on them. The gratitude definition stamp is from the Define Your Life stamp set in the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog. I added some Crumb Cake seam binding to the spine. This seam binding is thinner than ribbon, and makes it so easy to tie a beautiful bow! I just love it!! Remember, you can purchase Stampin' Up! items directly from my website http://nancyamato.stampinup.net. Sale-A-Bration ends soon, so be sure to place your order before March 31st. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Spring!

Happy Spring! I know the calendar says Spring, but it is still quite chilly tonight. Hopefully, the warmer weather will be here to stay VERY soon. I saw my first robin this week, and it inspired me to make this card. This was my swap at the RemARKable Stamper's team meeting yesterday. I used the 2-Step Bird punch, Chocolate Chip & Poppy Parade Classic ink; Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Certainly Celery, & Very Vanilla (for the bird) cardstock; sponge daubers; and Basic Black & Peach Parfait Stampin' Write markers. The key to coloring the robin is to use the sponge daubers and rub the ink in a circular motion onto the bird punch outs. The beak was colored with the Peach Parfait marker, and I added an eye with the Basic Black marker. Half of a Stampin' Dimensional popped wing up, and the entire robin was popped up by adding another Stampin' Dimensional to the back of the bird. I layered the bird onto a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock, layered with a piece of Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock. I hope you enjoy this card! I WILL be back on Tuesday with a new post. Happy Spring!

The flower was made with the new Sizzix Bigz Die, Fun Flowers. This die is in the Occasions Mini catalog. I used Whisper White cardstock for the flower, then embossed it with the Finial Press textured embossing folder.
I will be back later this week with some new projects, and that's a PROMISE!
