RemARKably Creative Blog Tour: Oh So Succulent

Welcome to another RemARKably Creative Blog Tour!  Succulent plants are all the rage right now, and Stampin' Up! is on trend with our Oh So Succulent Bundle (#145184, $48.50).

I have to be brutally honest -- I was not a fan of this bundle when I first saw it.  :-)  But, once I saw what other stampers were doing with this set, I knew I had to have it.  And, I am so glad I have this in my stamping room now.  Here are the projects I made for us this month:

My first project is a card that features the beautiful Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (142778, $11.00).
I only bought one package of this designer series paper, and I can tell you that I will be buying more!  The colors and designs are just beautiful.

The only stamping for this card is the sentiment inside and the succulents on the corner of the envelope.  I used Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron ink.  This card was part of my Just Cards Class this month.  The die cut on the front of the card is included in our Window Box Thinlits Dies (142762, $38.00).

Speaking of the Window Box Thinlits dies, here is my second project:

This is one of the projects we made in Stamp Club this month. I included a battery-operated candle in the project to make a cute favor that is perfect for a wedding, anniversary party, or shower. Once again, we used Sweet Sugarplum and Mint Macaron as our color scheme.  (REMINDER - Mint Macaron is one of the 2015-2017 In Colors, so it will be retiring.  Make sure you stock up on plenty of card stock and the ink refill before it is gone!  The new Annual Catalog will launch on June 1, but the retiring In Colors usually sell out before then.  So, get it while you can!)

I used the Succulent Framelits Dies to cut 2 large, 2 medium, and 2 small "hen and chick" succulent flowers.  We sponged each with Mint Macaron ink to give it dimension, and then used a bone folder to curl the petals ever so slightly.  The flower was assembled with Stampin' Dimensionals, and we staggered each layer of petals.  The center of the plant features a metal rimmed pearl, and we set the flower on top of a bow made with our Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

I cannot wait to make more paper succulents with the Oh So Succulent Bundle!  Now, it is time to see what Melissa has created for us this month.  Just click here, or on the icon below.

Happy Stamping,
