If you have not yet seen the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog, hold onto your hats! Wowza -- so many cute stamp sets and bundles (14 in all!) in the Occasions Catalog. It was so easy for me to get lots of FREE Sale-A-Bration items with my order! Yep -- You get to select a FREE Sale-A-Bration item with each $50 order you place (before tax and shipping). And, if your order totals $250 or more, you get and extra $25 in Stampin' Rewards.
One of my favorite Bundles in the Occasions Catalog is the Party With Cake stamp set and the Party Pop-Ups Thinlits Dies on page 7.

My project this month is the pop-up birthday card we made today at Stamp Club:

This is a fun pop-up card! This card uses two pieces of Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 -- one for the card base, and one for the inside pop-up.
We used the "Hip Hip Hooray" Thinlit Die on a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and scored at 4 1/4 inches. The die has "pointers" on it to help you properly align it on the fold. (Helpful hint: place a piece of waxed paper between the cardstock and die for easy removal of the die.)
I wanted to place a piece of the fabulous It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack behind the pop-up to accentuate the pop-up.
It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack #140552 $26.00 for 48 sheets |
I chose the paper with the candles on it to make the Whisper White cardstock really pop! Just cut a piece of designer series paper at
4 1/2 x 3 1/2 and score it at 2 1/4. Use SNAIL to adhere it to the center of the base card, making sure you line up the score lines.
Next, use SNAIL to adhere the Pop-Up card to the base card, making sure you only add SNAIL to the outside edges of the Pop-Up card.
We finished off the card front with a layer of Basic Black cardstock, and then a layer of Whisper White cardstock embossed with the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder #140592 $7.50 |
We used Silver Glimmer Paper to cut the birthday cake from the Party Pop-Up Thinlits Dies. Simply snip off the extra pieces, then use a 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere it to the embossed Whisper White layer. A little bow with the Melon Mambo from the Baker's Twine Combo Pack was attached to the base of the cake stand with a glue dot. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach this layered piece to the card front. I am not going to lie -- this card is a little heavy, and it would probably require extra postage. :-) The Stamp Club ladies loved it, and I hope you did, too.
Of course, it is Sale-A-Bration, and that means FREE products for each $50 order (before tax & shipping). Here is one of the cards from my Sale-A-Bration Open House:
Flowering Fields Wood-mount #141300 FREE Clear-mount #141303 FREE |
These flowers were stamped with StazOn Black ink and colored with Blender Pens and our Classic Ink Pads. You can stamp these flowers in any order you want! Each combination gives you a different look, but all are beautiful. The Whisper White card stock is layered onto Basic Black card stock. The Basic Black card stock is attached to the Pool Party card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
