RemARKable Stamp of the Month: Hearts A Flutter

Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour!  This month's stamp is Hearts A Flutter (#129249, $25.95 wood mount, #129252, $18.95 clear mount).

You can find this stamp set on page 11 of the Occasions Mini Catalog. It is perfect for Valentine's Day and lots of other occasions, too!   I purchased the Hearts A Flutter Bundle and saved 15%!   The bundle includes the stamp set and the coordinating framelits, so cutting out the images is a breeze. You can choose the bundle with a wood mount stamp set (#131098, $42.95) or a clear mount stamp set (#131097, $36.95).  Here is the first card I made:

Hearts A Flutter with the Chalkboard Technique
I am in love with the Chalkboard Technique! This is a fun, easy technique.  Here is what you need to make your own chalkboard:

Basic Black cardstock (#121045, $6.95)
Embossing Buddy (#103083, $5.95)
Whisper White craft ink (#101731, $7.50)
White embossing powder (#109132, $4.75)
Heat tool (#129053, $29.95)
Stampin' sponge (#101610, $3.50)
White gel pen (#105021, $3.95)
Essentials Paper Piercing Pack (#126187, $7.95)

Rub Embossing Buddy all over Basic Black card stock.

Stamp sentiment with Whisper White Craft Ink.  The "Be My Valentine" sentiment is from
the Delightful Dozen stamp set.  (Page 140 of the 2012-2013 Catalog.)

Pour White Embossing Powder over top of Whisper White Craft ink while it is still wet.

Use Heat Tool to melt embossing powder.  The right side of this image shows the embossing
powder after it has melted.  The left side of this image shows the embossing powder
before it has been heated.  See the difference?

Ink heart stamps with Whisper White Craft Ink and randomly stamp all over card stock.  Sprinkle with
White Embossing Powder, then use the Heat Tool to melt embossing powder.

Use a Stampin' Sponge to lightly apply some Whisper White Craft Ink onto card stock to make it look
like erased areas on a chalkboard.  Use a light touch, and be sure to leave some areas un-inked so it
looks like clean areas of a chalkboard.

Use our White Gel Pen and our Essentials Paper Piercing Pack to draw lines around the perimeter
of the Basic Black card stock.

Layer Basic Black "chalkboard" onto Pink Pirouette, then onto Cherry Cobbler, then
attach to Crumb Cake card with Stampin' Dimensionals

Close-up of the banner stamped with Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler, and Crumb Cake ink.
Cutting out the banner is easy-peasy with the Hearts A Flutter Framelits!  I attached the banner
with Stampin' Dimensionals and added Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine bows to each end.  The word
"Love" is from the Pennat Parade stamp set on page 44 of the 2012-2013 Catalog.

My second card was designed with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch in mind.

Here is my version of this sketch using the Hearts A Flutter stamp set:
